Our Agency needed data quickly, seeing as we did not have the
resources to gather primary data and due to time constraints, our research was
reliant on access being approved by the data proprietors. Therefore, the secondary
data that was provided to us By Motorsport stats was the only viable
alternative to gather information on F1. The advantages of using an
organization’s secondary data is that it provides an unobtrusive measure in
view of the fact that the data had previously been collected. In addition, the
information that was gathered for the F1 study was of high-quality (Stewart and
Kamins, 1993; Dale et al., 1988; Saunders et al., 2007, p.259).
