Terrorism is the use of violence against innocent people. Terrorism
can take many forms and has many causes, often more than one. Some terrorist
events are singular acts linked to either revenge or an act . Such as the
assassination of Austria’s Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which ended World War one.
Or in a group attack which can be more of a threat to us. The most dangerous
terrorist group is called ISIS; they have done numerous amounts of attacks and
caused a lot of damage to cities and to families. Isis is based in a few
countries called Iraq and Syria. The most dangerous and scariest terror
attacked was caused by an Islamic terrorist group called al-Qaeda. Terrorists
hijacked four planes and deliberately flew them into their targets which killed
almost 3,000 people.

 

A recent terrorist attack was the London one. It happened on
the famous bridge called London Bridge. In the attack seven people died and
fifty were injured. It was cause by a terrorist running over the bridge and
hitting multiple people.

Religion perhaps is the most commonly held belief today is
that terrorism is caused by religion. Though it is not the main cause for
terrorism, religion does play a significant part in the role of terrorism. As
Hoffman points out in Inside Terrorism, from the Thugs of ancient India that
killed to terrorize in the name of the god Kali to the Jewish Zealots who
sliced the throats of Romans in public to combat their occupation of Israel,
religion has long been a factor of terrorism.

Lack of education amongst the people has been put forward as
a prime reason of terrorism. People get scared and hurt by the justice system
that they choose to resort to acts of violence in order to protest the on-
going injustice.

 

Some causes and motivation for terrorism is political.
People choose terrorism because of what they think is political and social.
During the “troubles” in Northern Ireland which was between 1968 up until 1998,
Catholic and Protestant groups where on never ending violence against each
other in Northern Ireland and bits of England. Another cause of terrorism is
religion. In the 1990s, a number of deadly and dreadful attacks happened in the
name of religion. In the Middle East there was a lot suicide attacks in the
1980s.

Career terrorism experts began to argue in the 1990s that a
new form of terrorism fueled by religious fervor was on the rise. They pointed
to organizations such as Al Qaeda, Aum Shinrikyo (a Japanese cult) and
Christian identity groups. Religious ideas, such as martyrdom, and Armageddon,
were seen as particularly dangerous. However, as thoughtful studies and
commentators have repeatedly pointed out, such groups use selectively interpret
and exploit religious concepts and texts to support terrorism. Religions
themselves do not “cause” terrorism.

 

Terrorism is mostly threated by terrorists from Pakistan.
Terrorism has damaged the economy, politically stability and the social sectors
of the country and national security and integrity.
